Skills Development Project

Human Resource Developemnt

AIPA has recognized the paramount importance of skills development in Africa. It has identified skill shortages as a serious set back to African development. Thus, AIPA has been working with various African governments, World Bank, USAID and South African institutions in human resource development programs. AIPA has successfully implemented postgraduate Scholarships Program and Education linkages programs.

Postgraduate Scholarships Program

AIPA has placed over 50 South African students from previously disadvantaged communities in South Africa in post-graduate programmes, which was financed through AIPA.

Education Linkages Program

AIPA believes that tertiary education in South Africa is more relevant to the economic and development of Africa as a whole. To this effect, AIPA placed over eight hundred under/ Postgraduate program candidates from various African countries in South African tertiary Institutions. It is believed that the network of such scholars in Africa could speed up the development process. AIPA has carried out Study for the Government of Rwanda on the capability and cost-effectiveness of South African tertiary institutions to provide Rwandan students with post-graduate programes.

AIPA offers its services to governmental and non governmental organisations who want to place African students in South African tertiary institutions. Students who are interested to study in the Republic of South Africa can directly contact AIPA.
